Our compassion ministry provides food and clothing to those in need. Once their outward needs are cared for, they are ready to receive the gift of Jesus, as they are open to hear the word of salvation. Each year, this ministry outreach holds a community-wide event during the Christmas season. This event allows each family to receive a gift basket filled with food, toys for the children, and special Christmas treats. Special guests are part of the festivities, and our Christmas production presents an invitation for anyone wanting to give his or her heart to the Lord.
Our support ministry allows the administration of practical service. Jesus said, “He who would be the greatest, let him become the servant of all.” We know it is very important for us to learn to serve, and here at Healing Word International, there are many great serving opportunities. We believe you should put into practice the Word of God, which has been so freely given to you and make finding a way to serve in the church, your top priority in life. Our belief is that you should find a way to become involved in an area of need and perform your abilities with the grace and calling God has given you.
We have shared very briefly an overview of the vision of Healing Word International so that you might understand our hearts as leaders and know our desire for you. We understand that our church is not the only church within the Orange and Los Angeles county areas, we believe that God has called us to cooperate with other ministries and be a catalyst for uniting churches in both counties. We are one church, with many local expressions. We may meet in different parts of the city, worship in different buildings, but we serve one Lord and Savior, and His name is JESUS.
Healing Word International has been given a vision by God to plant local congregations within both counties. All of these local congregations are one church, with one vision, speaking with one voice, and believing in one doctrine. It is our desire to be able to meet the needs of everyone regardless of where they live. God has commissioned us to build on fellowship with many local congregations, releasing the five-fold ministry to care for and instruct you, come build with us and be a part of this vision.
